Biography
Responsible, “Informatics Unit for the Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences†(UNIATMOS) of the Centro de Ciencias de la Atmósfera of UNAM and Geomatics Professor at the Facultad de IngenierÃa of UNAM. Recent publications: Digital Climatic Atlas of México; Climate change scenarios for studies on impacts, vulnerability and adaptation; Atmospheric and environmental observation networks in Mexico; Bioclimate, climate change and ecosystems in the State of Tabasco, México, as well as the Map of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. In September 2014 received the international Latin America Geospatial Excellence Award granted by Geospatial Media and Communications.
Research Interest
Processing and quality control of continental and oceanic climatic-environmental data, GIS, marine and continental cartography, data bases, geospatial repositories and metadata, Open Data and interoperability and map servers in Internet.
